Excuse the gloom.

SCUM & VILLAINY is a Sci-Fi Tabletop RPG, specifically a hack of the indie darling Blades in the Dark. It focuses on criminals and opportunists in the worn-down star systems in the far-flung parts of the galaxy. The focus on heists, scores, odd jobs, and rebellion will be familiar to folks who love Firefly, Star Wars, or Outlaw Star. If the only tabletop RPG you've played is Dungeons & Dragons, you will be shocked at how well the rules of a system can so fully evoke the kind of story it is telling. Scum and Villainy is worth a shot. Email me and I'll run a game for you; I'm not joking.

I had trouble thinking of how to represent a tabletop game in such a visual shrine format, but I've included here some official art and some of my own character drawings from real campaigns. But seriously, play this game.

It's no surprise that I have recently been very excited about superhero transormation sequences, and Miraculous Ladybug is solely to blame.

I took inspiration from here to design the color scheme for Magic Words.

One thing I appreciate about the art in Sailor Moon is the care and love for cityscapes. Ordinary concrete places are given attention and color showing their obvious beauty.
